Kai Davis: Why she kicks ass She is a slam poet who tackles a wide range of issues in her poetry, such as racism, homophobia and sexism. She spends most of her free time writing, and is an editor of her school’s literary magazine. She is an honour roll student and a member of the National Honour Society. After she finishes college she hopes to return to work with youth poets in order to better their lives and improve the community around them.
