(72# Gabon) Rose Francine Rogombé: Why she kicks ass
She is a Gabonese politician and lawyer by profession. She is part of the Galwa ethnic group. Following the completion of her studies in France, she worked as a magistrate in Gabon.
She was Acting President of Gabon from June 2009 to October 2009.
She was elected as President Of The Senate in February 2009, a role to which she returned to after her interim presidency.
She is a member of the Gabonese Democratic Party.
She was the first female head of state of Gabon.
In the 1980s she served in the government as Secretary of State for the Advancement of Women and Human Rights. 
In the 1990s she became Vice-President of the Special Criminal Court. 
She received a degree in theology (2007).
In recognition of her work in leading Gabon through the early presidential election in 2009, the oldest Senator presented her with a medal of honour on the occasion of her return to the Senate.
In 2010 she organised the distribution of 23000 toys to children in Lambaréné as a celebration of Christmas.
